Come join us one wintry day...

  1. ImageWinter Camping Trek
If you've wanted to experience camping beneath a star lit winter sky, this trip is for you. Start at our facility with some hands-on work with the dogs and the equipment you'll be using, and mush to a predetermined spot where camp will be set up. After a delicious home-cooked meal prepared and served by our guides, you'll snuggle into a quality sleeping bag in either our canvas wall tent with wood burning stove or one of our North Face winter tents. This trip offers excellent scenery, ice fishing or cross country skiing, as well as the finest of winter camping.

  2. Lodge-Based Dog Sledding
Based out of one of Ely's fine winter lodges, you will spend 3 days mushing over the frozen winter wilderness and sleep soundly in a comfortable lodge room. After each days' route is completed, you will enjoy a great meal at the lodge after which you can sit by the fire reflecting on the memories you've built. With this trip you can also head into Ely and explore the quaint shops or snowshoe across a frozen lake, or cross country ski one of the many area trails.
  1. ImageDay Trip
If all that time affords you is one day, or if you just want to try out dog sledding (we know you'll wish you could go longer). this option is for you. You will arrive at our facility and after a short orientation, we'll transport you to a starting point where you'll spend the entire day mushing. We stop for lunch over a campfire and rest the dogs somewhat at the half-way point in your day.

  2. Fisherman's Journey
Travel by dog team through the wintery northwoods to a secluded lake for a day of fishing. With all equipment being provided by us, fish for Northern or Lake Trout while relaxing in the solitude of winter ice fishing. Enjoy a hot lunch around a fire, prepared by your guide. This trip combines all the best of winters in Minnesota's northwoods.

ImageGrowing up in Ely, MN Stu McEntyre has become well acquainted with the sport of dog sledding. In 1971, at the age of 8, Stu had his own dog team. In due time, he was racing and running Crosscountry, guiding sleds, and dogs throughout Alaska and in the far northern reaches of Canada. Now along with wife Jeanne and children Shelby and Spencer, we are running White Wolf Dog Sled Trips together. "We like being ambassadors to the sport of running sled dogs and introducing people of all ages to the wilderness of northern Minnesota-from atop the runners of one of our dog sleds."

"We put people first. That's why we give personal attention to each guest. Your trip is your unique opportunity to expierence a winter adventure you will never forget. We would like the opportunity to help you make a memory to last a lifetime - from atop the runners of one of our dog sleds."
